Kintai Therapeutics was a biotechnology company founded by Flagship Pioneering that focused on harnessing the power of the enteric signaling network (ESN) to develop novel therapeutics. The company utilized its proprietary Precision Effector Metabolomics (PEM) platform to map the complex interactions between the gut microbiome, the immune system, and the metabolic system. Kintai's pipeline included programs targeting metabolic diseases, immunology, and oncology, with a particular focus on obesity and inflammatory bowel disease. In 2020, the company merged with Senda Biosciences to integrate its enteric signaling expertise into a broader platform for programmable medicines. The combined entity eventually became part of Sail Biomedicines in 2023.
