Kitasato Daiichi Sankyo Vaccine was a Japanese biotechnology company focused on the research, development, and manufacturing of human vaccines. Formed in 2010 as a joint venture between Daiichi Sankyo and the Kitasato Institute, the company served as a critical supplier of public health vaccines in Japan. Its product portfolio featured seasonal influenza vaccines and pediatric combination vaccines, including treatments for measles, mumps, and rubella. The company operated significant manufacturing facilities in Kitamoto, Saitama, specializing in both egg-based and cell-culture technologies. In April 2019, Daiichi Sankyo fully integrated the company to streamline its vaccine business operations and enhance its R&D capabilities.
