Klear Optix was a medical device company specializing in the development of hybrid contact lenses for the treatment of keratoconus and other corneal irregularities. The company's primary innovation was the KlearKone lens, which combined a rigid gas permeable center with a soft outer skirt to provide the visual clarity of a hard lens with the comfort of a soft lens. In January 2012, Klear Optix was acquired by SynergEyes, a leading manufacturer of hybrid contact lenses, which integrated the KlearKone technology into its specialized product line.
