KMD Bio is a South Korean biotechnology company founded in 2020 by Dr. Myung-Hoon Kim, a former physician and pharmaceutical executive. The company focuses on developing innovative targeted cancer therapeutics using its proprietary Antibody Conjugated NanoParticles (ACNP) and Protein Corona Shield Nanoparticle (PCSN) platform technologies. This platform conjugates targeting proteins, such as affibodies, to drug-loaded nanoparticles via a glutathione-sensitive linker, offering enhanced efficacy and safety compared to traditional antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). KMD Bio's lead program, KMD111, is a HER2-targeted therapeutic designed for HER2-positive and HER2-low expressing gastric and breast cancers.
