KnujOn was an internet security and consumer advocacy organization primarily focused on the eradication of illicit online pharmacies and the mitigation of email spam. Founded in 2005 by Garth and Robert Bruen, the company specialized in data collection and analysis of rogue pharmacy networks, providing intelligence to law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and internet infrastructure providers. While not a traditional biotechnology or pharmaceutical developer, KnujOn played a critical role in the healthcare ecosystem by protecting consumers from counterfeit, substandard, and unregulated medications sold through the internet. The organization was well-known for its collaborative reports with LegitScript and its efforts to enforce domain registration policies through ICANN to disrupt the financial incentives of spammers. KnujOn's research often highlighted the concentration of illicit drug sales within a small number of domain registrars, leading to significant policy changes in internet governance. The organization ceased its public operations and spam collection services in May 2018.
