Company intelligence / Profile preview
Kona Medical has developed a non-invasive focused ultrasound device for renal denervation to treat resistant hypertension. Early clinical trials showed promising results with approximately three quarters of patients responding at six months and an excellent safety profile. The company initiated the WAVE IV trial—a randomized, sham-controlled study—to further evaluate efficacy and safety. The technology remains investigational and not yet approved for sale.
