Konanda Pharma Fund

Konanda Pharma Partners was a private equity firm and specialty pharmaceutical company based in New York, founded in 2007 by Dr. Seth Lederman. The firm operated through the Konanda Pharma Fund I, L.P., which specialized in the acquisition and commercialization of mature, FDA-approved prescription drug brands with established clinical value. Through its wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, Validus Pharmaceuticals and Fontus Pharmaceuticals, the company managed a portfolio of legacy therapies including Equetro (carbamazepine), Marplan (isocarboxazid), and Rocaltrol (calcitriol). Konanda's business model focused on re-invigorating the marketing and distribution of these products to address specific medical needs in psychiatry, neurology, and nephrology. The firm is no longer active, as it has exited its investments and its leadership has transitioned to other pharmaceutical ventures such as Tonix Pharmaceuticals.
