Company intelligence / Profile preview
Koor Industries is a prominent Israeli investment holding company that historically functioned as one of the nation's largest industrial conglomerates. Established in 1944 as the industrial arm of the Histadrut labor federation, the company eventually transitioned to private ownership and focused on strategic investments in global sectors. Its portfolio notably included significant holdings in agrochemicals through Adama Agricultural Solutions, telecommunications via ECI Telecom, and international financial services. While the company maintained a presence in the chemical industry and early Israeli biotechnology ventures, it was primarily an investment vehicle rather than a dedicated drug developer. In 2014, Koor was fully merged into its parent company, Discount Investment Corporation, which is part of the IDB Group.
