Korea Medical Device Development Fund

The Korea Medical Device Development Fund (KMDF) is a cross-ministerial organization in South Korea dedicated to fostering the domestic medical device industry. Established in 2020 by four government ministries, the fund provides comprehensive support throughout the entire product lifecycle, from basic research and development to clinical trials, regulatory clearance, and global market expansion. KMDF aims to secure core technologies, improve the trade balance in medical equipment, and enhance the international competitiveness of Korean healthcare technology. The organization manages a multi-year budget of approximately 1.2 trillion KRW to support innovative projects in digital health, high-tech medical devices, and public health solutions.
