Kromek is a UK-listed detection technology company that develops and manufactures cadmium zinc telluride (CZT)-based radiation detectors and related bio-detection systems for advanced imaging and CBRN applications. In healthcare, its detector components are supplied to OEM customers for medical imaging systems including SPECT, CT and photon-counting CT, supporting applications such as cancer and Alzheimer's disease imaging. The company also sells commercial radiation detection products for civil nuclear, security screening, homeland security and defence markets. In parallel, Kromek is developing automated airborne pathogen detection and sequencing systems for biodefence and public-health monitoring.
