KTH Biopharma

KTH Biopharma AB was a Swedish biotechnology company established as a spin-off from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The company was primarily focused on the commercialization of research related to protein engineering and the development of novel affinity ligands known as Affibody molecules. These small, robust protein scaffolds were designed to mimic the binding properties of antibodies but with superior stability and smaller size, targeting applications in diagnostics and therapeutics. While the company served as an early vehicle for KTH-based intellectual property, its core technologies and programs were largely transitioned into other entities, most notably Affibody AB. Consequently, KTH Biopharma is no longer an active operating entity in the life sciences sector.
