Kv1.3 Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapies for rare and autoimmune diseases by targeting the Kv1.3 potassium channel. The company's lead asset, dalazatide (formerly ShK-186), is a synthetic peptide derived from sea anemone toxin that selectively inhibits effector memory T cells while sparing other immune functions. Originally established as a subsidiary or consortium (KPI Therapeutics) by Kineta, Inc., the company advanced dalazatide through Phase 1b trials in plaque psoriasis and identified potential in inclusion body myositis and lupus nephritis.
