La Jolla Spa MD was a premier medical spa and clinical research facility based in La Jolla, California, founded by world-renowned dermatologist Dr. Mitchel Goldman. The company was a pioneer in the field of aesthetic medicine, integrating luxury spa services with advanced dermatological surgery and medical-grade skincare. It served as a critical site for clinical trials, contributing to the development and FDA approval of numerous lasers, fillers, and neuromodulators. The organization was instrumental in the creation of the TNS (Tissue Nutrient Solution) technology, which became a cornerstone of the SkinMedica product line. In 2002, the brand and its product assets were acquired by SkinMedica, which was subsequently acquired by Allergan in 2012.
