Company intelligence / Profile preview
LAAx developed the TigerPaw II System, an implantable mechanical occlusion device designed to safely and effectively close the left atrial appendage during open chest cardiac surgery. The TigerPaw II features a soft silicone fastener that conforms to tissue anatomy, aiming to reduce risks such as tissue damage and bleeding compared to other closure methods. The product received regulatory clearance in both the United States and European Union and was commercially launched in those regions in 2013.
