Overview
Laboratoires IPRAD was founded in France in 1989 as a family-owned pharmaceutical company specializing in feminine hygiene and family care. It became the French market leader for intimate body hygiene with its flagship brand Saforelle®, among others. The company has grown steadily (~10% per year), reaching €80 million revenue by 2018 with products distributed in over fifty countries. In January 2020 it was acquired by Biocodex to strengthen both companies’ positions—especially internationally—in microbiota-related healthcare and family wellness markets. Its product portfolio includes medical devices, OTC drugs for gynecology/infectious diseases, food supplements for general well-being/microbiota support.
