Laboratoires Jolly-Jatel was a French pharmaceutical company specializing in the development and commercialization of treatments for gastrointestinal and urological conditions. The company is most notably recognized for its flagship product, Spasfon (phloroglucinol), a widely used antispasmodic medication in France for treating spasmodic pain. In 2004, Jolly-Jatel was acquired by the Italian pharmaceutical group Recordati for approximately €117 million. Following the acquisition, the company was integrated into Laboratoires Bouchara-Recordati, significantly strengthening Recordati's market share in the French primary care and specialist sectors. The company's legacy is defined by its strong brand recognition and the long-standing clinical use of its gastrointestinal portfolio.
