Company intelligence / Profile preview
Laboratoires Logeais was a French pharmaceutical company primarily focused on the fields of urology, cardiology, and respiratory medicine. Founded in 1934 by Jean Logeais, the company became well-regarded for its development of Tadenan, a standardized extract of Pygeum africanum used globally for benign prostatic hyperplasia. The firm maintained a significant presence in the French market with a portfolio of small molecule therapeutics and plant-derived medicines. In 1997, Laboratoires Logeais was acquired by Groupe Fournier (Fournier Pharma) to strengthen its position in the urology and cardiovascular sectors. Following subsequent acquisitions of Fournier by Solvay and later Abbott, the Logeais brand was fully integrated into these larger organizations.
