Laboratorien Hausmann was a pioneering Swiss pharmaceutical firm based in St. Gallen, renowned for its specialized research into iron metabolism and therapy. Founded in 1952, the company developed breakthrough carbohydrate-iron complexes, most notably iron sucrose and iron polymaltose, which revolutionized the treatment of iron deficiency anemia.
