Laboratorios Pérez Giménez

Laboratorios Pérez Giménez was a prominent Spanish pharmaceutical company based in Córdoba, best known for its flagship analgesic product, Calmante Vitaminado. Founded in 1943, the company specialized in the development, manufacture, and commercialization of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and generic drugs. At its peak, it operated a large, modern manufacturing facility in Almodóvar del Río, producing a wide range of solid and liquid dosage forms. After facing significant financial difficulties and entering a lengthy bankruptcy process, the company's assets and production plant were acquired by Pharmex Advanced Laboratories in 2016. The acquisition allowed for the continuation of pharmaceutical manufacturing at the site under new ownership.
