Labrys Biologics

Labrys Biologics was a private, venture-backed biotechnology company focused on preventive treatments for migraine. Its lead and apparently sole disclosed program was LBR-101, a humanized anti-CGRP monoclonal antibody for chronic and high-frequency episodic migraine that was in Phase 2b development prior to the company’s acquisition. Labrys had acquired worldwide rights to the antibody program from Pfizer, where it had previously been known as RN-307. In June 2014, Teva agreed to acquire Labrys to expand its migraine and pain portfolio, and the asset was later renamed TEV-48125 and ultimately commercialized by Teva as Ajovy (fremanezumab). The company appears to have operated as a single-asset neurology biotech rather than a broad platform company.
