LACOG

The Latin American Cooperative Oncology Group (LACOG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and management of clinical and epidemiological research in oncology across Latin America. Founded in 2009, it is the first cooperative group in the region to focus on multi-center cancer studies, aiming to improve cancer care and outcomes through high-quality scientific evidence. LACOG operates a vast network of over 200 investigators and 100 institutions across 16 countries, collaborating with international research groups and pharmaceutical companies. Their work spans various cancer types, including breast, lung, and genitourinary cancers, providing critical data on regional patient populations. The organization provides a robust infrastructure for conducting Phase 1 through Phase 4 clinical trials, ensuring adherence to international quality standards.
