Lambda-X

Lambda-X is a Belgian optical engineering and manufacturing company that designs, develops, qualifies, and produces high-precision optical and metrology systems for life sciences, medical, industrial, space, and defense applications. In healthcare and life sciences, the company supports biopharmaceutical process control, in vitro diagnostics, clinical imaging, cell therapy, and academic research with custom optical instruments and subsystems. Lambda-X also built a proprietary ophthalmic metrology business around its NIMO product family for intraocular, contact, and spectacle lens characterization. Since 2024, the core high-tech optics business has been fully integrated into the Verhaert group, while the ophthalmic division was spun out as Lambda-X Ophthalmics. The company operates as a commercial-stage provider of devices and enabling instrumentation rather than a therapeutics developer.
