Lanthio Pharma is a Dutch biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of lantipeptides, a novel class of therapeutic peptides with enhanced stability and selectivity. The company's proprietary LanthioPep platform enables the engineering of peptides constrained by lanthionine bridges, which mimic the structural features of natural bioactive peptides while providing superior drug-like properties. Its lead candidate, MOR107 (formerly LP2), is a selective agonist of the angiotensin II receptor type 2 (AT2R) and has been investigated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension and various fibrotic diseases.
