Company intelligence / Profile preview
Laser Associated Sciences was a U.S. medical device company focused on noninvasive optical sensing technologies for vascular and hemodynamic monitoring. The company developed FlowMet-R, an FDA 510(k)-cleared blood flow monitoring system intended to quantify tissue blood flow rate during vascular procedures and help clinicians assess treatment effectiveness, particularly in peripheral artery disease. The company emerged from the UC Irvine/Beckman Laser Institute ecosystem and was backed by Auctus Global Capital. In 2020, Laser Associated Sciences was acquired by Medtronic, and it no longer appears to operate as an independent standalone company.
