Laurion Capital Management

Laurion Capital Management is an active, New York-based hedge fund and investment management firm founded in September 2005 by Ben Smith and Sheehan Maduraperuma. The firm manages assets for institutional clients such as foundations, endowments, family offices, pension funds, and other investors. While its primary business is financial services and asset management across multiple asset classes using both qualitative and quantitative strategies, it has also participated as an investor in the life sciences/biotech sector through venture investments in companies like Schrodinger, SpringWorks Therapeutics, Aardvark Therapeutics, and TRexBio[1][3][5][7][8][10]. However, it does not itself develop drugs or healthcare products nor operate as a biotech/pharma/CRO/CMO company. Its involvement in health/life sciences is strictly as an investor[5][8].
