Laurus Synthesis

Laurus Synthesis is the CDMO/CRDMO business within the Laurus Labs group, providing drug substance development and manufacturing services for pharmaceutical and biotech customers. The business focuses primarily on small-molecule chemistry, supporting programs from preclinical and early-phase development through commercial manufacturing. Its capabilities include process chemistry, analytical development, scale-up, and cGMP manufacturing, with facilities in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, India, and a historical U.S. presence in Woburn, Massachusetts. Laurus Synthesis operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Laurus Labs and is integrated into the group’s broader pharmaceutical manufacturing network. As of April 2026, it remains active, although Laurus Labs has announced and advanced a restructuring scheme under which Laurus Synthesis Private Limited would be demerged/merged within the group subject to completion of approvals.
