LaVision BioTec

LaVision BioTec is a German life science tools company focused on advanced microscopy and imaging systems for research applications. The company developed and manufactured light-sheet, multiphoton, and confocal microscopy platforms used in neuroscience, immunology, oncology, developmental biology, and spatial biology research. Its flagship product families included the UltraMicroscope light-sheet systems and TriM Scope multiphoton microscopes, along with associated software and image-processing capabilities. Founded as a spin-off from the University of Bielefeld and LaVision GmbH, the company was acquired by Miltenyi Biotec in 2018. As of September 2023, LaVision BioTec GmbH was formally integrated and operates as part of Miltenyi Biotec B.V. & Co. KG, with continued development and manufacturing activities in Bielefeld and Göttingen, Germany.
