LB I Group Inc. was a proprietary investment subsidiary of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. that focused on investments in the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. During its active period, the group served as a significant shareholder and financial partner for numerous biopharmaceutical companies, including Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Acorda Therapeutics, and KaloBios Pharmaceuticals. The entity primarily engaged in private placements, debt financing, and the acquisition of warrants in development-stage healthcare companies. Following the bankruptcy of its parent company, Lehman Brothers, in 2008, LB I Group became part of the liquidation estate and is no longer an active investment vehicle.
