Living Cell Technologies (LCT) is an Australasian biotechnology company focused on the development of cell-based therapies for the treatment of neurological and metabolic diseases. The company specializes in xenotransplantation, utilizing its proprietary Immupel encapsulation technology to protect transplanted cells from the host immune system without the need for immunosuppressive drugs. Its lead candidate, NTCELL, consists of encapsulated porcine choroid plexus cells designed to support the regeneration of nerve tissue in patients with Parkinson's disease.
