Lebanese-Canadian Hospital

The Lebanese-Canadian Hospital (LCH) was a private medical facility located in Sin el Fil, a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon. It provided a range of healthcare services including general surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and emergency care. In February 2011, the hospital gained international notoriety when the U.S. Department of the Treasury designated it as a "primary money laundering concern" under the USA PATRIOT Act. The designation was based on allegations that the hospital was used to facilitate financial transactions for a global narcotics and money-laundering network linked to Hezbollah. Following the resulting financial sanctions and legal pressure, the hospital's assets were sold to Saint Joseph Hospital, and the original entity ceased operations.
