Lee's Pharmaceutical completed the acquisition of Staccato® One Breath Technology® platform and related assets from Alexza Pharmaceuticals on December 11, 2025. This acquisition includes full ownership of the proprietary inhalation drug delivery platform, the approved product Adasuve®, and late-stage development programs for CNS disorders. The company simultaneously acquired rights as licensor and manufacturer of Staccato® alprazolam under a global partnership with UCB. The transaction positions Lee's for expansion in inhalation therapeutics and delivers immediate cost savings by eliminating future licensing payments to Alexza, while creating potential milestone payments up to US$60.5 million and tiered royalties on global net sales.
