Lehigh Valley Technologies (LVT) was a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, that focused on the development and commercialization of complex generic and branded drug products. The company specialized in controlled substances and high-potency drugs, particularly within the therapeutic areas of pain management and respiratory health. LVT's expertise included the formulation of difficult-to-manufacture products and navigating the rigorous regulatory requirements for DEA-scheduled substances. In March 2014, the company was acquired by Mallinckrodt plc for $80 million plus contingent payments to bolster Mallinckrodt's specialty generics portfolio. Following the acquisition, LVT's operations and product lines were integrated into Mallinckrodt's specialty pharmaceuticals segment.
