Leidos Biomedical Research operates as a leading contract research organization specializing in biomedical research program management, drug/vaccine development support, regulatory compliance services, and advanced scientific operations. As the operator of the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research under contract to the National Cancer Institute, it supports basic through translational science across cancer biology, AIDS/infectious disease response, genomics/proteomics/bioinformatics innovation, nanotechnology applications in medicine, biomarker discovery/validation efforts, production/testing of vaccines/therapeutics for human trials—including first-in-human studies—and manages large-scale biorepositories.
