Company intelligence / Profile preview
Levo Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing novel therapies for Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and other complex orphan diseases. The company's lead candidate, LV-101 (intranasal carbetocin), was an oxytocin analog designed to address the behavioral and endocrine symptoms of PWS, specifically hyperphagia and anxiety. Following a Phase 3 clinical trial (CARE-PWS), the company sought regulatory approval but faced challenges with the FDA's assessment of the data. In June 2022, Levo Therapeutics was acquired by Ipsen to integrate LV-101 into Ipsen's rare disease portfolio and continue its development path.
