LG Uplus is one of South Korea’s largest telecommunications and media companies, providing mobile network services, internet, IPTV, IoT solutions, and corporate ICT services. It operates under the umbrella of the broader LG Corporation. While not a life sciences or pharmaceutical company by core business model, it has entered into partnerships to develop digital healthcare solutions leveraging its communications technology. The company has recently partnered with academic institutions like UNIST to co-develop smart healthcare and digital health monitoring solutions using AI and IoMT technologies.
