Company intelligence / Profile preview
Liberation Way was a healthcare company specializing in addiction treatment and rehabilitation services, based in Yardley, Pennsylvania. The company offered a continuum of care for substance use disorders, including medical detoxification, intensive outpatient programs, and sober living environments. In December 2017, Liberation Way was acquired by the private equity firm Fulcrum Partners for $41.6 million. The company's operations ceased in 2019 after a major investigation by the Pennsylvania Attorney General revealed a sophisticated $44 million insurance fraud scheme. The investigation led to criminal charges against its founders and several high-level executives for exploiting vulnerable patients through unnecessary testing and fraudulent insurance policies.
