LifeCare Holdings was a leading provider of long-term acute care (LTAC) services in the United States, operating a network of specialized hospitals. The company focused on treating medically complex patients who required extended recovery periods beyond the capabilities of traditional short-term acute care hospitals. Its core services included ventilator weaning, intensive wound management, and specialized rehabilitation for patients with multi-system organ failure.
