Lifesharing

Lifesharing is a federally designated non-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) that coordinates organ and tissue donation in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Operating as a division of UC San Diego Health, the organization facilitates the recovery of life-saving organs such as hearts, livers, and kidneys, as well as tissues and corneas for transplantation. Lifesharing provides comprehensive services including donor management, family support, and community education to increase enrollment in the Donate Life California registry. The organization serves as a critical link between organ donors and transplant recipients across the region, working closely with local hospitals and transplant centers. Their mission focuses on saving and enhancing lives through the gift of donation while providing compassionate care to donor families.
