LifeTech Innovations was a specialty biopharmaceutical company that pioneered advanced transdermal drug delivery systems. The company's core technology, the Corplex platform, utilized a proprietary blend of hydrophilic polymers to create adhesives capable of delivering a wide range of therapeutic agents, including small molecules and large peptides, through the skin. In 2002, LifeTech Innovations merged with Corium Corporation to form Corium International, a move that combined LifeTech's polymer expertise with Corium's manufacturing and development capabilities. This merger laid the foundation for a robust pipeline of transdermal products, most notably Adlarity (donepezil transdermal system) for Alzheimer's disease. Today, the company's legacy continues through Corium, which remains a leader in the transdermal and transmucosal delivery space.
