Light Sciences Adipose was a biotechnology company focused on the development of non-invasive treatments for fat reduction and body contouring. As a subsidiary of Light Sciences Corporation, the company leveraged the proprietary LitX (Light Infused Therapy) platform, which utilized light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to target and disrupt subcutaneous adipose tissue. The technology was designed to induce adipocyte apoptosis, providing a less invasive alternative to surgical procedures like liposuction. Although the company reached the clinical testing stage, it is no longer active following the dissolution or restructuring of its parent organization's various divisions.
