Overview
LignaMed’s lead candidate, LGM2605, is a novel oral small molecule synthetic lignan with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Preclinical data demonstrated efficacy in reducing airway hyperreactivity and improving lung function in models of Th2-low asthma—a subtype resistant to glucocorticoids. The compound has shown promise for other indications such as organ transplant viability and fibrosis. As of late 2019, the company was preparing for clinical development.
