Lipo Chemicals is a long-established specialty ingredients company focused primarily on the personal care and cosmetics market rather than therapeutics. Historically, the company supplied specialty, naturally derived, and functional raw materials for hair care, skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, encapsulation, and related formulation applications, with some legacy references to food, industrial, and pharmaceutical ingredients. In 2010, Lipo Chemicals merged with Vantage Specialty Chemicals, and the Lipo brand has since been integrated into Vantage's personal care business. The business remains commercially active as a brand/division within Vantage, marketing ingredient technologies and formulation platforms to consumer product manufacturers. It is not a biotech drug developer and does not appear to maintain a therapeutic clinical pipeline.
