Live Tissue Connect

Live Tissue Connect (LTC) was a medical device company specializing in the development of advanced tissue welding and bonding technologies. A subsidiary of CSMG Technologies, LTC developed the VAD System, a radiofrequency (RF) based platform designed to fuse soft biological tissues as an alternative to traditional sutures, staples, and glues. The company's technology, originally developed at the E.O. Paton Institute of Electric Welding in Ukraine, received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2008 for its VAD.400 generator and disposable instruments. This system was intended for use in general surgical and gynecological procedures for the ligation of vessels and ducts. Although the company is no longer active as a standalone entity, its core technology and key leadership transitioned to Biofuse Medical Technologies, which continues to market the platform under the BioFuse brand. LTC's innovations aimed to minimize surgical trauma, reduce operative time, and improve patient recovery through leak-proof biological bonds.
