Company intelligence / Profile preview
Live Tissue Connect (LTC) was a medical technology company and subsidiary of CSMG Technologies focused on developing advanced surgical tissue bonding and welding systems. The company's core technology, the VAD System, utilized radiofrequency (RF) energy to fuse and reconnect soft human tissue as an alternative to traditional sutures, staples, and glues. This platform was designed to provide leak-proof, smokeless, and bloodless connections across various surgical applications, including general surgery, gynecology, and thoracic procedures. LTC received FDA 510(k) clearance and CE Mark certification for its initial products, including the VAD.400 RF generator and disposable sealing instruments. The technology was originally developed in collaboration with the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute in Ukraine. Following a reorganization of its parent company's assets, the technology was transitioned to Biofuse Medical Technologies, which continues to advance the platform.
