Liverpool ChiroChem

Liverpool ChiroChem, later renamed LCC Therapeutics, was a UK drug discovery and chemistry company focused on novel chiral small molecules and enabling technologies for pharmaceutical research. Originating as a University of Liverpool spinout, the company developed the PACE (Parallel Automated Chiral Engine) platform, which combines AI software, automation, and proprietary chiral libraries to design, screen, and synthesize stereodefined compounds. Historically, the business operated both as a chemistry-enabled CRO and as a platform-oriented biotech seeking to generate best-in-class small molecule therapeutics. In June 2025, the business was acquired by XtalPi, and subsequent Companies House filings indicate the acquired legal entity later entered administration and then creditors' voluntary liquidation in 2025. The company does not appear to have had a disclosed clinical-stage therapeutic pipeline prior to the acquisition.
