Living Independently Group was a healthcare technology company that developed and marketed QuietCare, a passive remote monitoring system designed for senior care. The technology utilized wireless motion sensors and behavioral algorithms to track the daily activities of elderly individuals, alerting caregivers to potential health issues or emergencies such as falls or cognitive decline. Unlike traditional monitoring, the system did not require cameras or wearable devices, prioritizing resident privacy while enabling independent living. In December 2009, the company was acquired by GE Healthcare to expand its home health business and support the growing global aging population.
