LMA Urology

LMA Urology is a medical device company specializing in endo-urology, originally established as a division of LMA International. The company is best known for the StoneBreaker, a portable, handheld intracorporeal lithotripter that uses compressed CO2 to fragment urinary stones during ureteroscopy. Unlike traditional pneumatic lithotripters that require external power or air lines, the StoneBreaker is a self-contained, cordless device designed for ease of use and portability in the operating room. In 2012, LMA Urology was acquired by Teleflex as part of its $276 million acquisition of LMA International.
