Company intelligence / Profile preview
Longview Fibre Company was a prominent American manufacturer of pulp, paper, and packaging products, headquartered in Longview, Washington. Founded in 1927, the company operated one of the largest integrated paper mills in North America and a network of corrugated container plants across the United States. Its product portfolio included specialty kraft paper, containerboard, and high-performance packaging solutions, some of which were specifically designed for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, such as sterilization-grade kraft paper. The company transitioned from public to private ownership following its acquisition by Brookfield Asset Management in 2007, and was subsequently sold to KapStone Paper and Packaging in 2013. Today, its assets and operations are part of WestRock, following WestRock's acquisition of KapStone in 2018.
