Loot is a pre-clinical stage biotechnology company developing a next-generation platform for small molecule drug discovery. The company utilizes a proprietary massively parallel functional screening technology to identify novel therapeutic candidates for challenging or previously "undruggable" protein targets. By combining synthetic biology with high-throughput chemical assays, Loot aims to significantly reduce the time and cost associated with early-stage lead discovery. Based in San Francisco, the company was part of the Y Combinator Summer 2023 cohort and is currently focused on expanding its discovery engine and internal pipeline.
