Company intelligence / Profile preview
LPLB Investments was a biotechnology and diagnostics company that operated as a subsidiary of LipidLabs, Inc. The company was primarily focused on the development and commercialization of advanced lipoprotein subgroup analysis technology, specifically the Lipoprotein Particle Profile (LPP). This diagnostic tool was designed to provide a more detailed assessment of cardiovascular risk by measuring the size and density of lipoprotein particles. In 2006, the assets related to this technology were sold to SpectraCell Laboratories, where the LPP test continues to be marketed nationally. Following several corporate restructurings and reverse mergers, the entity eventually became known as Texas Developing Technologies, Inc., which explored additional therapeutic areas including the use of gallium compounds for treating traumatic brain injury and cardiovascular conditions.
